I have hundreds of objects which I select and then click "UV>Automatic".
It doesn't do anything except give me the error message:
// Error: line 0: Doesn't work with multiple objects selected.
The objects I select are inside different groups in different positions in hierarchy. The automatic function does work fine when I only perform it on a single object and when I perform it on the same selection of my hundred of objects but when I first moved them all to the same hierarchy level outside of all groups or inside one single group. That seems absurd to me. So my question is:
How can I create automatic UVs for all these hundreds of objects in different groups all in one go? I don't want to select each one by hand and click Automatic and then do the same on the next and keep doing this hundreds of times.
Am I doing something wrong or is that another one of Mayas brilliant features that has not been addressed in 20 years?
