When I select the face indicated by the red circle in the image below, a different location is selected.

How can I solve this problem? Help me!!

[I am Japanese. Sorry if my writing is not correct.]

Did you find a solution?  It's been a week since your post.  If you can't select the face, can you select a vertex or an edge on the face you want?  If so, you can then convert your selection to a face and deselect the ones you don't want (hopefully you can deselect them).  If not, take note of the selected face indices and use scripting to select the index you want.

select -r yourMesh.f[index];

Hi,

the same happens to me whenever I isolate parts of a mesh. It has a 1-selection-delay as I could experience. If you select a face and then another, the selection will first go to the first face you selected. So you're kinda 1 step ahead of Maya.
You can have a look on the example I attached.

Best regards

I have experienced (am experiencing right now) where after I select something, the viewport will not update until I tumble my view.  This is in Maya2019.2.  I wonder if this is the same thing in your case with isolated components.
