The MOST IMPORTANT thing as LT user is making sure MLT file format is readable after LT is killed!

Apparently, LT will be killed & replace for Maya Creative software. I like that Maya Creative software uses standard ma, mb files that is compatible with standard Maya & maybe some 3rd party software.

I got it that Autodesk did not want big studios to use Maya LT for business ($) reasons, hence making the MLT format unreadable by the more expensive Maya.

But now that MLT format is killed. Can we get a converter or allow Maya or some tools to let us convert MLT to Mb files?

I cannot speak for others, but that's the most important thing as a LT user to be able to salvage 8 years of work on a dead format.

you can open .mlt files  directly in Maya 2023

straight from the help:

Note: Maya doesn't save scene files in .mlt format, but you can load them. When opening a .mlt file in Maya, resave the file in .ma or .mb format.
