Right Click Menu glitching and driving me nuts in MacOS

So this is what happens during modeling. It's random and sometimes opens in sub menu level so you either have to release right click and start again or play the "follow the lines to the beginning" game.

I am able to reproduce right click glitching by selecting edges then pressing connect and after hitting enter pressing right mouse click. In 3 out of 10 I have a line going from mouse pointer to the last button I pressed in modeling toolkit. I have to deselect and right click again hoping it will be normal this time.

And what's with the fading menu effect?? It's insane how poorly this software runs on a mac.

Fresh scene, new scene, old scene doesn't matter.

Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and 2017 27" iMac with 24GB ram and 570 GPU.

**video in slow motion.

With blurry UI, menus fade delay which simply hurts my eyes and feels like the whole system is lagging and stuff like this I don't think I will extend my subscription. Ridiculous.

I downloaded Blender out of curiosity and LOL free software runs like butter in comparison.

Here I am paying for this while modeling simple building causes frustration bonanza.

Here's the video of the glitch that I can replicate.

Again I'm slowing it down to make the line stay longer as in reality it goes from a quick flash to a longer appearance randomly.

****downloaded and installed 2018.5 and issue is still there.

*dunno if it matters but this two examples show that a "UV" option/selection appears every time it glitches.

I will add this here.

Check the delay on mouse rollovers and clicks...

Hi @Anonymous!

Thank you so much for uploading the screencasts!

Did you experience this issue on previous versions of Maya LT as well?

I will try to reproduce the issue locally now and be back to you as soon as I have an update.

FIY, this happens in Maya 2018 as well and has been happening for years on MacOS now.

@francesco.torchia Hi, any news on this?

ETA on the fix?

You can't work like this.

Also how do I get a refund or partial refund since I AM UNABLE TO WORK as clicking menus makes stupid things happen.

Two months since I moved to mac and I'm using other 3D software while my subscription for maya is running.

How do you think I feel?

And happy New Year, wish all the people at autodesk to realize we are the ones that put food on their tables.

You will be contacted by one of my colleagues taking care of this topic.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

So my license was extended but not sure for what.

Just downloaded 2019LT and EXACTLY same issues are present.

Delayed menus (that green circle that's when I press mouse button. Just look how long it takes for menu to appear rofl), lag, artifacts and stupid transparency on the dropdowns that makes my eyes bleed.

I attached a clip form my session that lasted 30 seconds and off I am again to blender while AD is still holding my money hostage for product I can not use.

Hi @Anonymous!

Thanks for reporting this.

In Maya LT 2019 Release Notes, among the Fixed Issues, the following is listed:

Mac : Weird Marking Menu behavior Before Displaying MAYA-91763

According to the data I have (description of the behaviour, reproduction steps and screencasts), the issue you reported matches the one stated as fixed. But it might be something which is just similar.

I will try to reproduce the issue on my side using Maya LT 2019.

You can see in last few seconds that right click makes marking menu go to “uv” one again instead of main. What about lag, ghosting and poor performance?

Hi @Anonymous!

I was able to reproduce the issue locally. The one which has been fixed was clearly a similar behaviour.

I will report it do the Dev Team immediately.
