Installed MayaLT2017, fails to open, no error message provide

I'm on Windows 10. I just attempted to install the free trial of Maya LT 2017. Everything seems to go smoothly until I attempt to click on the desktop shortcut, or the maya.exe in the bin folder. The Maya icon appears for a couple seconds in my taskbar, then instantly disappears. The program does not launch, and no error message is generated. 

I have tried multiple repairs, re-installs, and uninstall - reinstalls, including re-downloading the setup.exe from the site, nothing helps. 

Any ideas? Do you need me to provide any additional information? 

My apologies if this question has already been asked and answered, feel free to point me to a helpful forum post.

1) This is Maya 2017 LT, not AutoCAD

2) This is Maya 2017 LT, and there are no service packs for 2017

3) There are no graphics hardware recommendations for Maya 2017 LT, at least not here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/syscert?siteID=123112&id=18844534

Is there any further information I should provide? What computer specifications would you like?
