How to Rotate/Move a skinned joint PROPERLY

Moving a skinned joint: select Skin> Move Skinned Joints

Rotating a skinned joint: select component mode> question mark. This gets the job done, the rotation axis can be modified but its not ideal because the transformation axis does not change.

Proper way of rotating skinned joint:

Select joint> Tools Settings> select Pin Component Pivot> click Edit Pivot

Have a nice day! 🙂

I have just realized using Pin Component Pivot> Editing Pivot messes up my entire skeleton, all my other joints rotation and transformation axis changed. The tool works perfect for the selected joint but why are all the other joints orientation gets messed up?

Is this a bug??

Ok I realized that this tool is not what I was looking for. It basically says what it is, it pins the pivot so every time you rotate it retains the pivot position. For a moment I thought autodesk made an easy way to modify the orientation and transformation of a skinned joint. I guess its back to exporting weights>unbinding etc.

Would be nice if there was a tool that could change the orientation as well as the transformation of a skinned joint.

Here is a video that cleanly describes this process: https://youtu.be/t1GDMGfxqnw
