# Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/MayaLT2018/scripts/startup/cutCopyPaste.mel line 106: AttributeError: file <maya console> line 971: Module 'os' has no attribute 'environ'

I get this error whenever I try to copy something to the clipboard.

It doesn't seem to matter whether I use Ctrl+C or click on the menu item.

The same happens with Cut (Ctrl+X or menu).

It broke overnight without me changing anything in my installation.

I've already reinstalled the product and have followed both the "Perform a Clean Uninstall" and "Remove Autodesk Software (Windows)" guides to the letter: I've deleted every Autodesk/Maya folder, registry entries, temp folders, restarted the computer, etc.

OS: Windows 10, 64-bit

Version: Maya LT 2018.4

Cut ID: 201807191615-2c29512b8a

David

Hi David,

Thanks for your post.

Yes, we are aware of this BUG and it should be fixed in a future release .

you can still use duplicate in the meantime .

thanks

Ash

Thanks for the prompt follow-up. Is there a workaround to enable copy-paste in the meantime?
