Hi,
Using the different tools for Maya I found the Length and Width the most frustrating to work with. Mainly because when you want to increase/decrease the parameter it's based on a metric system which the units are not even clear ie. I'd be scaling 0.1 max and the hair won't grow enough and I'll raise it to 0.2 and the hair will shooting up. Likewise with reducing/adding width it seems to be a lot of hit and miss till you find the exact value that works for you.
Ideally, you would be able to set both brushes increase/decrease with percentages. Instead of setting a fixed number the user can use a percentage.
ie you're grooming a beard and want to scale the hair so there's more prominent mustache then you can set the length brush to increase by 10% of the current length (same for width). It would be easier and more efficient!
