"I have been using the Oculus Rift together with UDK. It is quite an awesome experience to see your 3D work in in true 3D with depth. It would be great if Maya had support for the Rift to view assets during the creation process before it gets pushed to your target app.
I'm thinking that a separate window in Maya for the rift would be enough to get things rolling. While in rift mode a fly cam would be nice, it is basically a FPS camera with the added ability to press buttons to make the camera go up and down. Adding a speed increase and decrease factor would be nice as well."
Some suggestions:
- Fly cam
- Manipulate depth-related scene settings such as convergence
- Viewport second-screen Rift mode
