unified Solver and Particle system like ThinkingParticles

unified Solver and Particle system like ThinkingParticles

As an industry standard, Maya Need a really powerful and procedural Particle System just Like Thinking Particles from Cebas.

Every 3DCC software is going to have an undestructive node based system or it already has one, and Maya should have such a thing soon...

A unified Dynamic Solver including Particles, Fractures, Dynamics, Flow, Fume, Cloth, Hair... Maybe it's the next Bifrost.

And beside this Maya should have an undestructive workflow for everything, 3dsmax stack is much better than Maya's history, and Houdini is far more powerful in VFX, even the RIP XSI has undestructive workflow and ICE.

So Please Consider it for future releases.

We Just Hope So!

But I'm not sure, 2019 Version takes a lot of time with almost no feature(except viewport cashing), and it even introduces new bugs.

And again, I hope that 2019 release was the preparation for a big shift in the workflow of Maya to the non-destructive one in the next releases.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but how could you know if it's going to be good or if everything I mentioned above will be included??

I just hope so, but after waiting too long for the 2019 release, and it just came almost featureless I was disappointed, I thought it will be a big release but...

anw, I think we should wait until next year, or just switch to Houdini for everything VFX.

As others mentioned in the thread, we have a beta program going on right now to tackle this in a big way.  You're going to like it. 🙂

2019 came with cached playback as you mentioned, which was a massive effort from a lot of talented people.  That speeds scenes up drastically and we're quite happy with the results.  We also added a number of improvements to help load times, increase viewport performance (snapping is 50 times faster!) and a number of other things.

We're listening.

OH! am so happy to hear that, and so excited about the next big realese,

and am Glad that status is changed to accepted.

I appreciate every effort of the development team, I only said that other software had more features in their releases.

Thank you.
