Timeline functionality with the new Graph Editor

Timeline functionality with the new Graph Editor

I'm really liking the new graph editor. So much so, that I think the timeline could be replaced (optional for the user of course) if you added some extra functionality to the graph editor from the timeline. 1. Middle mouse drag to copy keys. 2. Playback controls in the graph editor UI (tested this and maya 2017 will not initiate playback using only the hotkey without the timeline in your workspace. Flipping keys does function though). 3. Make the Select Curve (M hotkey) setting available as a default in the preferences (Maya should do this anyway).

U can use this (there are a few others out there) if you want playback controls in the Graph editor.

How is this implemented?  The middle mouse function is not possible.  There are no playback controls in the Graph editor.

Oops, good catch dingo.  I had the wrong choice in the pull down menu.  We do like this idea and are on it.

Thanks for the awesome idea!  We've taken this & run with it.  Check out what we put into Maya 2020.

Keep the comments & good ideas rolling in, we're listening!
