Look Autodesk team years have passed now everybody got PC's so you got to optimize autodesk maya so every normal person can run it in their PC's.So for fun i did a survey to know about 3d software and other multimedia software and i found out the most user hate lagging software's and they want to reduce the software size to save space in there local disks and a lot of them wanted fx to work smoothly some wanted to create models with out bad topology etc.this are some reason .when it comes to maya you got all this problem this one of the reasson people hate maya but i believe you will fix it in future 2021 maybe.The autodesk competition blender improved there interface they come up with new interface now its time for maya to come up new stable release you must be faster because you got thought competitions.This a request you must introduce a procedural system to maya but a stable one thats all.
