Similar functions like in Max or Blender Loop Tools( Space, Straight, Curve etc)

Similar functions like in Max or Blender Loop Tools( Space, Straight, Curve etc)

Even Blender has it...

Another reason for which Maya doesnt have a good setup for hard surface is the lack of these tools. The ability to quikly and precisely evenly distribute/space the vertices on a contigous selection of edges,  to straighten and align a selection of edges etc takes so much burdain from the cleaning and fixing process.

Similar request have been made years ago. This is such a no brainer that it shocks me to this day there isn’t even a third party script that does this properly

cmon lest do this in the next update !

@Kranos_Orphydian @absoluteKelvin @Anonymous  There is a new C++ plugin which do this already.

have a look:

thx @stuzzz  and others ! But I guess you understand the reason of this suggestion which is pushing the development a little more on the modeling dide as well. It's ridiculous they came up with that super refined circularize tool a couple of years ago which is already far better than Max one and its part on these Loop tool Im speaking about, but they failed to provide some more basic tools.

I would absolutely love for Maya to have a built-in function to distribute vertices/edge evenly.

LoopTool's curve is a fantastic script, it makes curved surfaces much less labour intensive.

As someone who transitioned from Blender, I find that Maya can be so super awesome and yet so super dumb. So many little things modeling-wise that are so simple, just like spacing vertices, are so hard to achieve. Upvoted this one, let's hope someone pick it up.

Does any body knows if this is implemented?

Nope, it's not
