Keep code in the lower half of the Script Editor when it's executed

(Copied from original User Voice forum)

"Unless I highlight code in the lower half of the Script Editor, it gets flushed away when I execute it.

As I develop a script it's common to execute the script several times to review modifications, but having to highlight everything just to prevent it from flushing is a pain.

Highlighting some parts of the script is a great way to achieve "selective" execution, so don't change this.

But if nothing is highlighted, execute everything and leave the code where it is."

use the enter key on the numpad

Please do this.  Nobody writes a script and then wants it to be deleted!  I have to ^Z every single time I run a script to bring it back.  I've had too much time wasted by forgetting to undo before closing Maya, and if I accidentally hit ^Z twice I end up making other unwanted changes.

Numpad enter isn't a solution, control-enter is everyone's muscle memory and it's much more natural than going to the numpad.  It should just be a toggle.  Clearing the script editor when running a script never makes sense.
