Improve behaviour of camera under transform with non world rotations.

I often make a camera which is the child of a character so I can get a good view when they are moving around. However, if the character is flying around or whatnot then it will likely be oriented differently to the world and then the camera becomes really hard to control as the rotations are not predictable any more. 

 

Is it possible to get the camera to behave as if the thing it is parented to is the new world space?

Hi, did you try once the different constraint tools instead? They have more options to tweak this...

(not sure what's exactly the problem, it's hard to understand. but maybe it helps)

Constraints wouldn't work as then I wouldn't be able to navigate the camera. It really needs to be parenting.
