Export Data as txt csv

It would be great to have the possibility to export selected value, multiple values spreadsheet, channelbox value, Selected cv position for all selected cv, Data such Curvature Radius from pointOnCurveInfo for all selected cv or entire cv such a xyz. A lot of data.

It would be great.

Hi.

I'm trying to explain as far this is my job every days and this is a minimum part of it.

I'm working as Maya 3dmodeler on R6D departement with realtime simulator. The engineering sometimes tell tme hat they need a good ideal Line or good trajectory of some Race circuit. SO i'm able to create this looking at a video with onboard camera. How? Because we have the race track modeled by me from a laser scan. SO we have real correlation between where we are compared to reality. SO i'm start with a centerline, attach camera to it and moving around the race track and on bezier controls moving and alling what i see. It's not accurated att all but due to more test, this is the best and, shure, semi-accurated thing ever.

After ive created the curve, i'm exporting to maya ASCII .ma open with notepad++ and copy all the lines that representing the xyz, paste to excel to cleaning and separate as space and pass over the engineers, that take the data and judge very accurate. The most important thing is that the software simulation need, because they working with real data captured but some data acquisition machine, the curve radius, acceleration and some other things. Maya with pointOnCUrveINfo, is very good to take account of what is the curvatureRadius on some point ror (Parameter Value).

This is only one thing.

I'm using every timeand  every day this process to take and get this information. Other stuff are allining the FIA GPS to our Laserscan to data Analisys. This need the data exchange.

@darioOrtisi as you need a very special data output and formatting i recommend to create a simple MEL script that creates the csv data for you.

You may ask for help on this in the programming section of the forums.

With a MEL script you can get the data and formatting you need with one click.

@mspeer I know that MEL can do this. Unfortunately I'm not a programmer and is not easily to me to manage this. I think that maya can do this by default as default operation, to manage the request by all the users and not only from the programmer.
