It would be nice if maps connected to the Selected Color in the Ramp shader could be displayed in the Viewport. Alternatively, nodes' map display could support displaying multiple maps.
With Viewport 2.0, maps connected to the Selected Color in Ramp shader cannot be displayed in the Viewport. It was possible to display the maps with the Legacy Viewport, but this cannot be used anymore since the 2018 version.

A map can be shown in the Viewport by pressing the map node's "S" button in HyperShade. However, if multiple materials are assigned to a single object, it looks like only a single map can be displayed in the Viewport at a time.

Maya's Ramp UI is used in the plugin we are developing and we get many requests from our users asking how to display maps in the Viewport. Many of our users animate their maps and would like to check the results in the Viewport, but this is problematic with the current version of Maya.
If it was possible to support displaying Ramp maps in the Viewport or to support displaying multiple maps with the Hypershade nodes' "S" button, it would be beneficial for our current users and animation would be easier to set up.
The sample scene used in the videos is attached.
Please consider implementing this functionality.
