Did you mean:

check point for animation.

check point for animation.

Can we have some kind of check point for animation. We click on that and experiment with animation and if we don't like it we can undo it with one click to that check point. something like 3ds Mas (hold/fetch)
for example: Like we have undoinfo command -openChunk ans -closeChunk
user not supposed to use it but can Autodesk  Improve it ??

What would the benefit of this be over simply saving the file before those test changes and going back to that file if you didn't like it?  Is it just a speed thing (like if you have a huge file that takes time to load or something)?

Yes, it's all about speed workflow.

When we are working on projects maya files have lot of reference, texture and other stuff in that case re opening your scene will take time. Taking *.anim is one option but it just cover keys not other things like animLayer, constraints and other stuff.

Currently i have seen people even myself undoing 200 steps.

This new feature will be time saving for all artist.

I know somo of maya action is not undoable where maya through error not more undo. Same thing can be applied over here

Hey @viru.gupta8, thanks for your idea. I just want to ask some questions about your request - would having a larger (or limitless) undo stack and a history editor, like what's mentioned in this idea here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/maya-ideas/improve-construction-history/idi-p/7956890

Can you please let me know? Thank you!

@medryks Yes May be!!

if that help me give us functionality to do multiple undo in one click.

batter construction-history might do this job but if we have one button or click to "roll back to start point" instead of opening whole maya file again, much help full. where all things will be undo like keyframes, animLayers, constraints, creating Nodes, changing hierarchy etc.

It's an interesting idea Viru.  We added composition features to the Time Editor for exactly that reason.   You can play around with multiple different ones, all non-destructively & then keep the one you like.
