Xgen - strange facetting issue with fur after using the noise groom brush?

Hi all,

I'm getting a strange facetting issue in the fur I'm creating after using the noise brush. The clumping is much bigger on certain parts of the arm than anywhere else on the fur and seems to have a weird gridding pattern to the fur. Anyone know what could be causing this? I've included some screen grabs so you can see how I've got things set up.

Many thanksXgenFacettingIssue1.jpgXgenFacettingIssue2.jpgScreenshot 2020-10-08 at 17.15.07.png

Is it anything to do with the TPU (Texels Per unit) in the Brush settings? Mine was set to 30. But why would the noise brush big clumps on one section of the arm and then fine clumps in other parts of the arm?
