I have a model that has different textures for the face, body, arms etc, how do I create and paint maps for the various Xgen attributes in this case? I have attached a screenshot of what my UV layout is, I apologize in advance but im relatively new so you may have to be kind of specific with a solution but I sincerely appreciate any help! 🙂

the only way is to use a second uv set...

or to use mudbox and bake the ptex file there...

Thank you, once I create a second UV set how do I switch between them or let Xgen know which one to use?  As I had mentioned I am new to Maya so if you could be specific on the steps I would greatly appreciate it.

xgen will use the  the first one...

the new created should be the one for rendering...

duplicate the uvset...

and move all shells in the original to the 0-1 space...

window --> relationship editor --> uv linking...

Hi, XGen itself does not have an issue with UV tiles, the problem when painting maps on geo that uses tiled UV's is that the 3d paint tool does not support tiled UV's.

We hope to address this, but when this will happen is not certain.

Cheers
