Xgen core: clumping guides don't follow guides

Hello, I'm back with more Xgen questions!

I'm using OG xgen (core) to generate a set of clumps that follow curves, but when I generate the clumping map, and choose guides, it creates guides at the correct spots, with the correct number of clumps, but they don't follow the curves of the guides at all. The yellow guides here are imported curves, made into guides with the 'Curves to Guides' utility.

If I hit 'preview guides' in

the clump modifier, I can see the clump guides it generated.

How do I make them follow the actual guides? I've changed the attr and the modifier CV count to 8, but it doesn't seem to effect it. Does the guide option in the clump map just look at the follicle point?

Help me, @Michael_Todd and @sean.heasley, you're my only hope!

I think I have some kind of condition, where I can't find the answer to a problem until I ask for help with it.

Turns out, I had my Control Using option on primitives set to attributes, so it wasn't reading the guide, except for the point it touched the base mesh. So, there ya go, if anybody had the same issue. 😄
