Windows 10 sets Maya 2015 as standard app instead of 2016

Hello everyone,

well I got Maya 2016 and 2015 on my Windows 10 PC. I installed 2015 today, now Windows opens  .ma (etc.)-Files with Maya 2015 instead of 2016.

What I tried: 

on a maya scene file:  Open with -> use standard app -> (looked for the maya.exe from the Maya 2016 Folder) and hit open. 

But instead of opening 2016 now, Windows still opens my files with Maya 2015

Is there a way to solve this problem via Regedit?

Start->Settings->System->Default Apps->Choose default apps by file type.

Scroll down to .ma and choose the version of Maya you want associated.

well i tried it, but the problem is, it only says "Maya" instead of Maya 15/16

Are there two icons? If so, try them until you get the right one. (Not sure why Microsoft makes it so hard...)

Nope, there is only one Icon.  (see Screenshot)

I'm not sure what to tell you...mine has two icons. You may want to just reinstall Maya 2016 so it takes over the file association again.

Yes, I think, that will be the only one solution. I don't know, why Windows 10 is reducing more and more Information in their UI

Well I've found a much faster solution: I just clicked on repair wich took 10seconds. Now its the standard again.

Not sure what you mean by "repair." Where are you seeing that? Or did you mean Reset (Reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults is what it says next to that button.)

Edit: Oh, wait...do you mean the "repair" in the Maya installation program?
