Where do you download the 2018.3 updates from????

I downloaded the student version: https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/maya

If I make a cylinder and then click polyCylinder1 in the channel box, Maya crashes.

If I make an Arnold mesh light and then delete it, Maya crashes.

Months ago someone told me that these problems have been fixed in updates.

Call me stupid but I cannot find where the hell these updates can be downloaded from.

Are they not available for the student edition?

Are they not available for Mac OSX?

You can download update 3 by either using the Desktop App or by logging in hear and going to Updates.

Please let me know if this helps or if you need any more assistance!

It is not listed under "Product Updates" on that 2nd link. Only things related to maya 2016 are listed there.

Had to go to "All Products & Services", Expand Maya, click "Updates & Add-Ons".

Honestly i cant believe it, too. Why is there no option to update, or better auto updates, from within Maya application itself? And when I download Maya for the very first time, why isnt it the latest version(2018.4 instead of 2018)?

This is exactly the opposite of a professional application.

What is wrong with you?

Neither of these is an answer for a Mac user.

I'm unable to find an update from the second link, of any sort.

And the first link is to a Windows app, when the OP clearly states he's using Mac.

Hi @Anonymous

I shared both resources just so everyone including the original poster knows where they can find our updates.

The second link is where you need to log in with your Autodesk account and then navigate to Updates and Addons to download the update.

The update will be available if you have a valid license for Maya, if you are using a trial of Maya then you will not be able to update until you own a license.
