Viewport Gradient Broken

Installed the latest Maya 2023 and noticed there was no blue gradient background of the viewport. "alt+B" through all the options, no gradient at all. I try deleting maya preferences, rerun maya, doesn't fix it. Its a new install on a new computer where I didn't import settings. I tried to manually make the gradient but it seems like only the bottom color is in effect, the top color in color preferences does nothing.

I miss my blue gradient!

If the issue is an updated AMD driver causes it, it's not really a solution. Seems like Autodesk can update their viewport or contact AMD. They are not small companies and should manage this for their users.

This is a bug that should be addressed, not a "users can just find a working driver" If the latest drivers are failing. Can someone at Autodesk figure out a solution?

Hi!

Here it works with a NVIDIA GPU.

If this works with NVIDIA and even with other AMD driver versions, then this is a bug in the driver for the AMD GPU and needs to be fixed by AMD.

I recommend to report this bug to AMD.

Using a driver version that does not shows this bug would be the only solution until this is fixed by AMD.

Autodesk is not responsible for any issues of 3rd party products (except for certified drivers.)

Here you can find a list of certified GPUs and certified GPU drivers.
