Hi everyone.
I dont really know where to open this thread so i'll put it here in general.
I was watching these two tutorials:
http://lesterbanks.com/2015/05/tip-for-animating-vertex-maps-using-pose-and-morph-deformer-in-c4d/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXRSkw2y9D0
Basically they teach how to use vertex weight to drive some other attributes....they both are in C4D, and they use the "Weight vertex tag" to set vertex weight.
Now I tried to replicate the effect in maya, but I really cant find the way to paint some kind on weight on a mesh and then use that value to drive something else...
I know vertex weight is used in animation...and I was vondering if someone here know how to replicate that effects in Maya (if that is possible).
Thanks

or any other more optimal solution until now?
i really need help in this case, thank you so much!
