Unsmoothed wireframe on smoothed mesh?

Hi, I don't know why, but me meshes keep on showing me unsmoothed wireframes in the viewport of maya 2018. Can somebody help!?

Here's a picture to show you the problem.

Just to make everything clear, Theres only one mesh with this problem in my scene, the others are perfectly normal!

Hi!

You have either enabled

- Cache + Smooth Mesh (hotkey 2), or

- Displacement Preview

Check in Attribute Editor ...Shape -> Smooth Mesh

I found the answer. For a reason I don't know, in the Shape of my mesh, the smooth mesh preview was set on  Cage+ smooth mesh! Thank you for your time!

Hi, I'm using Maya 2024 and I have this same exact issue when I use hotkey 3. It smoothens my mesh but not the wireframe, and when I press hotkey 2 it displays the same thing. I found the attribute editor and under smooth mesh when smooth mesh is enabled (Not cage + smooth mesh) it still shows the same as the cage + smooth mesh.

Do you happen to know the solution for this on Maya 2024?

Just accidentally found the solution, de-select "Displacement Preview" and instead select "Subdivision Method" box
