Switching between Move, Rotate, Scale tools lag

Hi,

I've recently had Maya 2016 put onto my machine at work. One thing that I'm experiencing (but my colleagues are not who also have the same spec machine as me) is the Move, Rotate, and Scale tools lag when I switch between them using the hotkeys w,e,r. I also experience a slight lag when I actual move things in the viewport or rotate, it's slight, but becomes very annoying. It only lags about a second or just less, but it's noticable and frustrating when you have to use Maya all day. I've had the studio's tech guys install a new graphics card, new drivers, unistalled and then re-installed Maya 2016 with all sevice packs and extensions etc etc. Still happens. We've deleted prefs, played with all the settings in Maya, swithing between openGL, DerectX etc etc.

Could somebody please help??

The spec of my machine is:

Windows 7 with latest updates

Intel i7-4GHz

32 GB

Nivdia GeForce GTX 770

Thanks!

I've tried them all with no success. I would prefer to use viewport 2 though. Any ideas??

Do you have other windows open....like the hypershader?  While doing these operations?

No, no other windows open either. It's strange, it doesn't feel like graphics care issue really. If I take a fresh clean scene and create 2 nurbs circles, and then select one and the the other repeatedly, there's a delay in the selection.

Weird!?

its 2018 now...

and I need to restart my computer (just maya, doesnt work) 2 times a day, because of exactly this!

I can't stress enough how much we pay for this app and how buggy it is on top level. I can understand things being dodgy deep down. But this is horrible.
