SVG shapes with cutouts are giving me problems when trying to import into Maya 2017. Error is:
// Error: Unexpected number of points for SVG path. //

With out having access to the files, it is hard to tell if this a bug, or just something wrong with the SVG file. One option would be to cntr+C the file file in Illustrator and then use the paste from illustrator options in Maya. This usually does the trick. You might also have to clean up the file in illustrator, as it might have overlapping points that mess with Maya at import. you can PM me a link to your SVG file so I can test on my end. Thanks

Sorry about me missing that.. Was a pretty busy day! So I went ahead and did a quick video for you.. yep import doesn't work (happens on some files.. Devs. trying to figure it out, once that is done, then a fix will be implemented for a future update)
Here is a video of the Copy paste from illustrator into Maya working just fine with your O shape: https://autodesk.box.com/s/usjjdmncgd5ozf8j0xip1snhtx6vyqn3
Good luck with your projects. Cheers
