Not applicable

I created a model that i wanted to 3d print so i saved it as an stl and loaded it into 3d printing software but i noticed that it was not smoothed out and its mostly spherical so this presents a big problem. Does anyone know how to keep smooth textures when converting to STL?

Attached are the screenshot of Maya, and the of the XYZ printing software

mesh > smooth.

stl / printer do not know about soft normals or smooth mesh preview etc. so you need enough geometry. also to better see it inside of maya select your object and "mesh display > set to face or harden edge"
