Status Line

Is there a way to somewhat minimize the Status Line in Maya 2018? Ive faced this problem this morning and its really bugging me.

Thanks for posting! I would start by Resetting your Preferences. This should return Maya to its default state.

If you are looking for a workspace specific to your project, you can also switch between workspaces by clicking on the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner:
