scene save -> reopen -> empty

Hi,

after 17 years of working with Maya, this is now the first time I have a empty scene after saving and reopening.

I read various posts about that here and would like to know what the hell is going wrong!

That cost me another day of work.

The scene file size is correct, but there`s nothing but nulls, like:

0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000

How am I supposed to continue my job when this can happen?

Hi,

the empty scene file thing happened again to me.

It might be that it has to do with my new Dell workstation, but I am not sure (how should I be?)

I never had that with my old computers.

specs:

- intel xeon 32 core

- 128 gb ram

- quadro 5000 rtx

- win 10 professional

- Maya 2018.6

When the file is empty, before I was no longer able to open new programs or to continue working with Maya.

I had to shut down the computer.

Again: the scene file size is fine, but its completely empty.

Any hint appreciated!
