Hi guys

Could you explain what this warning actually means? Will it have a big impact on my file and is this fixable?

Warning: Cached Playback: Safe mode - cache disabled as unsupported nodes were found in the scene. See the Script Editor for details.

thank you all for your time

Hi!

It will disable the Cached Playback feature.

Just continue working, you can ignore this if you don't need Cached Playback.

and what if you NEED the cache to create a looping animation? this "unsupported Cache File node" happens to me frequently. i rebuild the cacheBlends, the file is ok, can close, open, then sudenly.... unsupported Cache File node again.

rebuild, save, open again, it is ok, close and open again, then once again "unsupported Cache File node" again, and have to rebuild the cacheBlends again ... and again, and again....

for example, if you are using a nCache to create a loopable cloth, this will stop running the nCache XML file and the second iteration of the loop will not run.

i suspect it happens if one uses the same nCache XML for more than one object. i copied and renamed the XML file that i was using and this appears to work.
