Quad Draw Problem invisible edges transparent faces

I'm trying to retopologize this mesh however for some reason the edges are invisible and the polygon faces are transparent. when I first used maya to retopologize everything was fine then one day this started happening and I don't know why. can anyone help me with this?

I think I just went ahead and retopologized a mesh from marvelous designer once despite this problem and when I imported it back into zbrush from maya the polygons were there but its as if there were no edges at all. ryuk problem.JPGryuk problem 2.JPG

Hi @Anonymous

If you create a new scene and try to use quad draw are the faces still transparent?

If so can you try deleting your settings/preferences and then use the tool again?

If that doesn't help, please try using the Legacy Viewport setting.

I'm having the same issue, and deleting the prefs didn't work. I can offer some additional info, however: It's almost as if the view of the Quad Draw mesh is additive, like a Screen layer in Photoshop. Trying to make the polygons a darker  colour instead makes them invisible, just like the supposedly black outlines. What could cause this?

Hi,

Same issue as well, yeah it doesn't seem like an error, almost like there's a switch or button on somewhere in maya that's causing this additive look

Solved it, okay watch this video, it's exactly what ajcassetta said it was, but this video demonstrates it a little easier than anything.
