Why don't I see a select tool or hotkey to stretch my textured image while, I'm using Projection Mapping?

Hi!

Sorry, what do you mean with "select tool or hotkey"?

Please provide more information, at least one or more screenshots.

''Hey, mspeer!

Sorry,What I meant by ''select tool or hotkeys'' is the tool that stretches the texture image when you use your projection map like, for example my  instructor used this to stretch out a jpeg image to make it more readable.

I don't know the proper name of the stretch tool.

I'm very new to Maya by the way.

''Thanks, Amanda

Hi!

There are multiple nodes that can do projection mapping in Maya.

Also i don't know if this a scene-specific problem or if it happens to you also for new scenes.

You also did not mention your Maya version.

Please "show" me what you are talking about

Is it this?

https://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2019/ENU/?guid=GUID-B7E73748-5F8E-4E66-BE88-DF3C2A3DF438

or this?

https://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2019/ENU/?caas=caas/video/youtube/watch-v-lFxvtePms8c.html

or anything else

At best add a screencast.

Without further information i can only suggest this:

Try a reset of your preferences.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2019 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2019 to 2019_backup (or even the maya folder to maya_backup). Maya creates new folders (don't copy preferences from previous Maya versions). Detailed at:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Reset-May...

It this does not help it's maybe a problem of your GPU/driver.

''Hey, Mspeer,

I think it is the one in the first link provided. I think it's called a triplanar. the version is 2018 and it is a scene with a building that i've rendered.

''Thanks!!

Hi!

If you can't see the green Projection manipulator box, please check if in your Viewport is enabled:

View -> Texture Placements.

For further help please upload a scene-file (after adding the projection).
