problems with the text tool

Hello everyone,

If somebody will help me fix my problem on Maya 2016 it will be very helpfull.

1st of all when i do create-> it shows me text and not type (which i need type and not the old text)

2nd when i go to the plugins and try to activate the Type plug-in it shows me this resault :
"// Error: Type plug-in is not supported in this version of Maya //
// Error: line 1: initializePlugin function failed (Type) // "

I'm using maya 2016 SP6 so it is the latest version so i don't know what to do...

You need Maya 2016 Ext1 or Ext2 in order to be able to use the Type plugin. It won't work with regular Maya 2016.
