Problem with opening a Maya file.

I just got Maya 2018, and when I tried to open one of my Maya files it wouldn't open. The file format's display doesn't show it's. Does anyone know what's going on with my Maya?

I don't get an error message. I just keep getting this when ever i try to open it:

First Open Maya, then from inside Maya open the file (recommended).

Use right mouse-click to assign the file format to a software.

It's all fixed. It turns out that it just needed to be updated.
