I installed yesterday Vue Xstream 2016 R5 on my version of Maya 2016. The standalone and the plug in opened in Studio Max are working fine but in Maya 2016.
This is the error message when I try to create an atmosphere: // Error: line 1: Cannot find procedure "VueCommand".
Any help with this issue will be appreciated
Thank you in advance!
Cheers

Hi @Anonymous
Maya seems to be having trouble finding a part of the plugin.
I'd recommend to try deleting your settings/preferences and then reinstall the plugin and see if that helps.

Do you mean resetting the preferences?
In the Maya folder there is a folder called prefs but there is also file called userPrefs.mel
In the link you sent they gave this instruction:
So I they are referring to the folder or the mel file? The folder has like 8 mel files and 7 extra folders which includes the Script Folder and the Shelves folder in I rename the main folder called prefs I restart Maya I would loose the custom made scripts and shelves that I have created .......I think ?
Thank you Sean!

Hi @Anonymous
Yes that is what I mean and yes you will lose your scripts/shelves but you can make a back up of those folders. Simply go to the folder where those are located and make a copy of them and move them to your desktop.

Thanks a lot Sean. Problem fixed!
In back up shelves folder I have different mel files. Should just copy them and pasted them in the new prefs/shelves folder ...... and I will have back where they were before and still Vue Xtream working.....right?

Hi @Anonymous
Yes now that it is working you can paste those folders/files back in.
If the issue comes back that means its related to something with your custom plugins.

Hi Sean. Unfortunatly Maya and all the rest of the 3d family that I had from Auto Desk have now an error 20 so I cannot longer open them after renaming the prefs folder solution. I had a student/teacher versions.
Any idea?
Cheers!

Maybe the issue has to do with the fact that the usePrefs.mel file was also reset and that is where my License rights were?

Hi @Anonymous
Hmm, a file may have been corrupted. Try a clean uninstall/reinstall of Maya and then paste in your plugins/shelves.
Note: Do not paste in the entire settings/prefs folder just the specific plugins/shelves etc you backed up.

Hi Sean
I followed all the procedures to clean uninstall (even in the Registry) but nothing has worked so far. I have done it 3 times : unistall + reinstall and I still get the License error 20 message everytime I try to start Maya
How can I definitively resolve this issue?
Cheers

Hi @Anonymous
Hmm ok. This seems to be an issue with your license now or install which is a bit out of my element.
However one of our Installation and Licensing reps, @natasha.l should be able to help you.
@natasha.l do you know why he is seeing this error?
