Pen pressure sensitivity not working

Hello,

I am trying to use the paint effects tool with iPad Sidecar on MacOS with Maya 2020, however, I can't get pressure sensitivity working. It's working with every other app I use including Photoshop, ZBrush and Substance Painter, but I can't seem to get it working with any component of Maya that allows pen pressure sensitivity.

Is there a way I can fix this?

thanks for your post. Did you have a chance to try the pen pressure behavior in earlier versions of Maya, such as 2019?

Would be interested to know if it works there.

Hello, I have the same issue as this thread but, with all the sculpting tools in Maya 2024.2 and 2025.2. I can also report Sidecar's pressure sensitivity functions work in applications such as Krita and ZBrush.
