Hi! I'm new here so I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place. I'm just starting out to learn the basics of Autodesk Maya 2018.

I encountered this problem, When I created an Object (SPHERE) in WORKSPACE: Maya Classic then change to WORKSPACE: Modeling - Standard,

the SPHERE suddenly stretches. See the photos below for reference. I really hope there's a fix for this, Its really frustrating. Do anybody know how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if its necessary but here's my PC Specs just in case

CPU: IntelĀ® Core i7-7700K KABY LAKE Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz)
VGA: ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ROG STRIX OC Edition
RAM: VENGEANCEĀ® Red LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16
MONITOR: LG 29UM58-P 29.0" 2560x1080 75Hz

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

This is pretty unusual and I've never seen this before.

First off what you can do is look at the sphere in the front or side view and see how it lines up on the grid then change to the Modeling workspace. The reason for this is its possible with the how much more space you get to work with that it may look like the model is changing when it actually isn't.

Second, does this happen with any other shapes like a square, cylinder etc?

Finally, a quick fix may be to try deleting your settings/preferences.

Let me know if anything changes!

Hi Sean!

Thank you for providing me options to fix this problem. Apologies for a very late response.

I tried to use the Maya again and the Issue didn't occur this time.

It seems that it's a Bug when I'm using the application in Full Screen mode of 2560x1080.

Right now I'm on a custom resolution and there's no problem whatsoever. It's really weird.

If in case I encounter this error again I will try the suggestions that you have provided.

Again thank you so much!
