Why does my Maya scene have so many Object sets? And what are they?

Why does my Maya scene have so many Object sets? And what are they?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Object sets contain any type of object, component, or group similar to when you parent objects.
As to how you unknowingly made so many I'm not sure but if you click on them they should highlight objects in your scene or possibly objects that used to be in your scene.
You can either delete them or just edit them so they aren't sets anymore.
Here's our documentation on Object Sets as well if you want more information!
Let me know if you need any more help!

Hi Sean, Thanks for the reply! Ah thanks a lot! When I select all of the object sets, nothing in my scene gets selected?
You can try deleting them and see what happens. Just be sure to have a backup save in case something else gets deleted by mistake.

I am still learning this and find the same thing. The sets show up while I am creating the objects. Nothing is in the sets when I highlight them also. I just delete them. It seems to me that they are created automatically when I delete a edge or vertex. Not sure if I am creating them by mistake somehow. They do not disappear when the history is deleted. Thanks for the infor.
