Move, rotate and scale tool not working in perspective view in Maya 2016

Dear Admin, and everyone,

Does anybody know how to fix unmoving Move tool, Rotate and scale tool in perspective view in Maya 2016?

At first, when I create a polygon form in perspective view its seems to be fine. I can move the object by the usual move tool (W), but when I press "space" to show different view, the move tool stop working. I can't drag it rotate it or scale it. But its work for the other view (the top , side and front view). Its doesn't work only in the perspective view. When I move my mouse toward the move tool cursor it doesn't show an orange colour just like when I want to move it based on the chosen axis. I recently have this problem with my Maya 2016 on my MacBook Pro high Sierra.

I have already reset the preference setting by renaming the prefs folder to prefsOld. Already check the move tools setting (soft selection unticked). I even have re-installed it but it still solve the problem.

Does anyone facing the same problem like me? Could you please tell me how to fix it?

Sincerely,

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

This may be due to an outdated GPU driver. Are your drivers up to date?

Steps to update your drivers can be found here!

If that doesn't help, you may want to try changing the rendering engine to DirectX, OpenGL or OpenGL - Legacy version depending on what you're currently set to. To do this go to Windows->Settings/Preferences->Display

Hi,

sorry for the long reply ><

I was very busy.

and yes I found the solution in the end in the forum.

The solution is by changing the rendering engine to OpenGL core profile.

Thank you very much for your response and attention.

Sincerely,

Julia

Hi.

I tried to do this with that way but it doesn't work.

Is there other way to solve this problem?
