Maya2022 doesn't start (mac)

MacOS Monterey 12.01.1 - M1

Hi everyone,

Maya suddenly stopped working. When I try to launch the application, its icon bounces in the Dock and keeps doing that for about 30 seconds. Then it just stops and nothing happens.

1) I tried uninstalling and re-installing the app

(How to perform a Clean Uninstall of Autodesk products on Windows --> https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Clean-...

--> nothing changed.

2) I followed @warnold1 instructions under a similar post in the forum

--> by running "/Applications/Autodesk/maya2022/Maya.app/Contents/MacOS/Maya" in the terminal, the result was:

"A licensing error occurred that Autodesk systems were not able to handle for you.

Please contact Autodesk Customer Support for help in resolving this error. adlsdkAuthorize returned with error code: ADLSDK_STATUS_ADLS_NOT_FOUND.

The default location for log files to help diagnose the issue is: /var/folders/2m/tq15ppl56q79m0t785fh0xz40000gn/T/"

2) followed up with instructions regarding "ADLSDK_STATUS_ADLS_NOT_FOUND" error code:

--> The solution fails at the second step under MacOS, which is:

"Verify that Maya has been registered using the following command (Maya should appear in the list of products returned by): sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Autodesk/AdskLicensing/Current/helper/AdskLicensingInstHelper list"

--> What I get in return in the Terminal is:

"reading configuration file /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AdskLicensingService/AdskLicensingService.data failed: open /Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AdskLicensingService/AdskLicensingService.data: no such file or directory"

The article doesn't say how to proceed in case Maya results not being registered (which, by the way, what does this exactly mean? how can it not find the file if the app is downloaded?).

Please help, this is just a summary of 5 hours of work trying all the solutions I could find.

Thanks in advance

I would download and install the Autodesk Licensing Service

Hi, thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately it didn't work.

Can this be related to the fact I have a student license?

Also, do you know any other solution I could try? or topics  I can do some research about?

Thank you

Hi, I am having a similar issue as you described in the original post. I was wondering if you happen to find a solution for the issue. Thanks a lot!
