Maya Search and Replace Names Still Broken

Hi Everyone.

This question is specifically for the Dev team at Autodesk.  Maya 2025's Search and Replace Names is broken.  Specifically with the default "Hierarchy"  mode selected.  This has worked in every version before Maya 2025 (I've been using Maya since beta 3...so I know).  This is a fundamental feature that "must" function predictably.  I've recorded a video that demonstrates the issue again.

I will check with colleagues to see if the issue is logged/known.

Thanks.

I created a simple character model setup and tried to reproduce on Maya 2025 and am not able to reproduce.
I tried to unload lookdevx for there was a previous issue with renaming in the status line while it was loaded but

that didn't help.
What happens if you offload the non-autodesk plugins?
Can you zip up that scene file (if you're able to) and your prefs and send them to us?

Hi,

A similar issue was fixed in 2025.3 and it was related to the LookdevX plugin.

Are you able to test this in 2025.3 or can you try running Maya 2025.2 without loading the LookdevX plugin to see if this fixes the issue?

Thanks.

Hi Brent,

You're a lifesaver. I'm currently using 2025.2 to be consistent with the version at work.  Disabling the LookdevX plugin works.

Thanks again.

Kris.
