Maya 2018 Sp2

want to render each layer with its camera

in Render settings  in Renderable Camera Create Absolute override for visible layer for each camera

1 layer - camera 1

2 layer - camera 2

3 layer - camera 3

4 layer - camera 4

than if I select Render layer 1 I have a orange all cameras and  all views (top, side...) But I override only camera 1.

this situation with all layers. for example Layer 3 have a 2 cameras with overrides. Layer 4 - 3 cameras.

delete unnesecary cameras reset overrides

In render setup in layer 4 I have right shape _camera4_group_camera4_cameraShape4 but  rendered wrong camera.

This is default function that I used every day and this not work since 2017 ver.

Hi!

It's working correct here (on windows).

It seems you are doing something wrong (or this is a mac bug which i can't test), please upload a detailed screencast.

The menu in Render View is just an overview, there is not only a single Renderable Camera Attribute where you can add a camera value/name (check CameraShape settings, there are the Attributes).

So:

A) In Render Settings enable override first for all cameras and then delete the camera from this menu if you don't want it to be renderable, or

B) it may be easier for you to set the overrides here for each camera: cameraShape -> Output Settings -> Renderable.

If you enabled all 4 cameras as renderable for default layer, you need at least 3 overrides per layer (to disable other cameras for this layer).

Hi!

The problem you have may also be scene-related, please upload a scene-file then.

Here i tested a lot of variations on how and where to create the override and it worked every time correct.

You also could post a step by step instruction how to replicate this with a new scene.

Hi @Anonymous

@mspeer makes a good point. We can't reproduce the issue so if you could provide a video and/or steps on how to reproduce we would be able to help you further!
