Please add a scene-file.
It's hard to see what you your later steps are after using Connect.
it fixed after reloading maya. This bugs very often happened and I must restart maya every time.
If you have a scene-file where it's reproducible i recommend to send this file to Autodesk and include a step by step instruction how to reproduce the problem.
