Maya crashed when opening a specific file.

When I open a specfic file from my professor on my home pc, Maya crashes and yields this error: 

Along with: //Warning: line 1770: Cycle on 'groupParts2.outputGeometry' may not evaluate as expected.

I opened this fine with the same edition of Maya on my PC at school and have no issues. Its only when I try to open it at home it crashes before opening. I have no trouble with any files the class has produced thus far, so I am at a loss as to the problem here. Any ideas?

I treid those suggestions, and nothing worked.

Try to import it into a new scene. It helps with most errors.
