Maya channel box's value doesn't allow manual editing changes

I was trying to manually edit the values in the channel box, but whenever I type in a number, it doesn't allow me to enter it. Instead, it kept going back to the previous value. Maya was working fine at the beginning, and suddenly, I kept having issues with the channel box.  I try restarting Maya and resetting prefs, and the issue keeps going.

Hi, @3169813.

You better record the Maya screen in Full Screen so everyone can see how Maya is processing overall.

Two things.

First, there is a yellow error message in the lower right corner. Please open the Script Editor and see what error this is. Share this if you like.
If you look at the content, you will see that the texture does not exist for some reason. It could be that the texture path is incorrect and that is why it is not reflecting the value.

Second, I'm not sure, but what mode is the controller you have selected?
There are three squares, the rightmost of which can be toggled to T, R, or nothing.
As usual, you would change this square first, then select the curve to do something. sometimes happen if you select curve first and type value it doesn't work. you can't type value in the channel box.

make sure you are not in Template mode or Reference mode.

In your video, only Output is shown in the Channel box/Layer Editor tab, but if it is set to Input, try Layers>Delete Selected Layers and re-enter the value.

Also, did you do Set Project? Is the rig loaded as a Reference?

As a last resort, you may create a new scene again and copy/paste the whole thing.

Hope this helps you solve your problem.

This idiotic issue has been known by Autodesk or 6-7 years that I know of.  Most people solve it by changing their "region" settings in windows to "United States" since we use a period instead of a comma for the decimal.  However, I'm already in the U.S., so that didn't help me.  Only thing I've found that helps is just save your file, then do File->New, then just reopen the file again.  It seems to resets the situation back to normal.

My guess it's just another in a loooong line of OpenGL issues that have arisen since the dawn of Viewport 2.0.
