Good day everyone,

I would like to ask someone in our community who has already passed the Maya Certification exam

This tutorial of Autodesk University was created in 2013 and I would like to know if this tutorial is still helpful in preparing for the Maya ACP exam

Thank you very much

Hi @Anonymous

Great question and I hope many other Maya users hop in this thread and provide some advice!

I for one think this video is a great general review session 🙂

Good day Mr. Sean

What I know is that version of Maya Prep isn't designed for the latest

"Maya Certified Professional"

Because the older certifications are "Certified Professional in Maya 2015" for example.

I'm concerned about the latest versions of Maya, because the official training manual is still

INTRODUCING AUTODESK MAYA 2016  & MASTERING AUTODESK MAYA 2016

There hasn't been any 2017 version of it , now there's 2018. Mental ray is removed and replaced with Arnold

How can we prepare for the latest certifications since Autodesk hasn't been releasing any updated training material.

May I know who can we contact regarding the Maya books or any announcement of their release dates specially Maya 2017

Thank you very much for your response...

Hi @Anonymous

While the video is outdated it still covers a wide variety of topics many of which that still apply to 2017 however you are right about the new rendering set up.

I would recommend just researching as much as possible especially areas where you may not know much i.e animation/rigging/rendering etc. across youtube and sites like pluralsight and lynda.

I am glad to hear about the old video will still help me,

Mr. Sean , do you know who to contact about the upcoming books ?

I've seen Pluralsight doesn't guarantee you in passing and Lynda only has a 3ds Max exam prep

I do have access to CADLearning as a Student Ambassador

But the tutorials there be enough to boost my chances of passing ?

Because I don't want to waste my parent's money if I only fail the exam.

Thank you very much Mr.Sean
