Maya 2023 development

Anyone exited about Maya2023?
I`m especially exited about the total lack of innovation/new functionality!

the highlights:

new boolean workflow -> a bunch of mel scripts for connection/reconnection of the input meshes with the already existing node/boolean algorithm bought from Tobias Sargeant

new retopology -> old version total joke, new version still under par

honestly thats it??

(still NO bifrost API/no fully functional editor for nodes...what the heck?!?!?!?!)

Maya is terrible with their marketing of new features. I find some stuff by accident. Have they even announced 2023 yet?  

For me this has been a great update.  They did some heavy-duty stuff under the hood and it runs way faster with large projects. My current project has 10's of millions of polys and a month ago it had become pretty much unusable. Now it is quite reasonable to work with. Day and night.  For some reason they let other people do their videos so we get a lot of YT videos about the new blue pencil but not the deep complicated stuff.

Okay...so I would like to have a more detailed info about performance improvements in Maya 2023...anyone?

The performance improvements are dependent on the scene. Best is to test it yourself.

My latest Char i did retopo on went from 8sec to 2sec to create a new face with Quaddraw.
