Maya 2018 Unable to save .exr file in Nuke while open in Maya

I'm having the same issue in maya2018 when loading a .exr file to be used with an environment light as HDR.

I'm editing the .exr in nuke and am unable to save the file in nuke when maya is loaded and the file is loaded in maya.

It's definitely a maya 2018 issue as similar issues haven't occured in previous version of the software.

Also I'm replicating the setup in houdini and nuke overwrites the .exr file just fine when loaded in houdini.

It doesn't seem to be related to the hypershade as keeping the hypershade closed doesn't seem to help.

I'm testing maya2018 on windows7. Any ideas?

Hi!

I can confirm this for Maya 2018 update 1 and Maya 2017 update 4.

No problem with Maya 2016.5.

Please report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.

@sean.heasley @Anonymous Any update on this? It seems to still be a problem in 2020.
